Roscoe is music for children and the entire family. The songs are fun to listen to,
easy to sing along with, and impossible to forget. This collection of music embraces the spirit of 70's classics like "School House Rock " and "Free to be You and Me" with modern sounding songs that are up-beat, educational, and infectious. The lyrics are simple enough for children of any age, but the themes are universal for kids and adults alike. The music is rich with sounds and textures.
You will hear rock guitars, soaring trumpets, dancing pianos, pounding drums, harmony vocals, garbage trucks, singing birds, and cowboys. Listen as a grown-up, or listen as a kid, just listen to Roscoe.
Roscoe is the creation of singer/songwriter Jeffrey Minnery. He began the project at the end of August, 2000. All of the songs were written and recorded within a two month period. "It was something I have wanted to do for a long time," explained Minnery, "and once I got started, the project just consumed me!" Minnery is no
stranger to music or kids. He has been releasing rock music for the past several years and even worked as an elementary school librarian. Roscoe is the result of these two separate worlds coming together. "Writing songs for kids opened me up to express myself without inhibitions, like a child approaches art," thought Minnery, "that's why the songs have such an honest appeal."
Roscoe is not sophisticated music. However, it does not underestimate the intelligence of children to recognize good music vs. "baby songs." This is a collection of songs that the kids will love to play over and over again without driving Mom and Dad crazy. Put the CD on and judge for yourself. Roscoe is fun for kids of all ages.
Just listen to Roscoe.
